Pendant le mois de décembre, j’ai pu lire des nouvelles alarmantes et contradictoires concernant le service Delicious. Je suspends donc le développement du plugin EG-Delicious, en attendant d’avoir des informations plus claires sur le sujet.
During December, I get some bad and contradictory news about Delicious. While the future of this service is not more clear, I suspend the development of the plugin EG-Delicious.
Comme je l’ai déjà indiqué dans un précédent article, je participe au concours WordPress Plugin Competition 2009, avec le plugin EG-Delicious-Sync. Le concours est clos depuis le 1 août, il n’y donc plus qu’à attendre que le jury délibère, et rende son verdict. Si vous utilisez Delicious, n’hésitez pas à essayer le plugin dans sa version complète, et voter sur le site du concours.
As mentioned in a previous post, I participate to the contest WordPress Plugin Competition 2009, with the plugin EG-Delicious-Sync. The contest is closed since August 1st, we just have to wait the verdict of the jury. If you use Delicious, don’t hesitate to try the last version of the plugin, and to vote vote on the contest site.
As a lot of WordPress users, I also use the bookmarker Delicious. Both of the tools are efficient to manage links, but we have to decide if we want to manage our links in the both tools, or use each of these tools differently. If we choose the first case, we have to enter the links twice.
Some plugins allow to display the Delicious links in our blog, but most of them just read RSS feeds coming from Delicious. This method has two disadvantages: we can get only the last updated or added bookmarks, and it can slow down the blog.
EG-Delicious-Sync allow to backup the Delicious links into WordPress links database. You can then use these links as usual, with the WordPress features (widgets, templates tags …).
