Panasonic unveils the DMC-FT2

Panasonic unveils the Lumix DMC-FT2, a rugged compact, the successor to FT1 released last year.

The main differences with the FT1 are

  • A better robustness: waterproof up to 10m, shockproof against a drop of up to 2m,
  • Freezeproof down to -10°C,
  • Sensor rises to 14 MP,
  • The zoom is a 28-128mm, with the new optical stabilization system « Power IOS »,
  • A new processor « Venus Engine HD II » for the video.
