La version 3.0 de WordPress est désormais disponible, en anglais et en français. Cette version marque une étape importante dans la vie du produit, puisqu’elle correspond à la fusion entre WordPress et WordPress MU, elle embarque de nouveaux thèmes, ainsi que de grosses nouveautés au niveau de l’API pour les thèmes.
Compte tenu de toutes ces nouveautés, je conseillerai d’ailleurs d’attendre quelques jours, et/ou de faire un certain nombre de tests, avant d’effectuer la migration.
The merger between WordPress and WordPress MU will be official with the version 3.0 of WordPress, which is scheduled for next April. So I continue to visit WordPress MU, taking in this time a developer point of view. We will discuss the differences between WMPU and the “standard” version of WordPress.

During last june, WordPress’ creators announced the “merge” of WordPress and WordPress MU. We have still no date, but since the version 2.7, evolutions of these two platforms are synchronized.
To anticipate this merge, I am interested in this MU branch, trying to see if it could open up new possibilities in terms of application, plugins, …
